JOEYS
0-2 YEARS
The Joey room educators create an environment for children to develop safe and secure relationships with educators and children. Routines and activities are designed to reflect individual needs in a caring environment. This holistic approach in learning environment allows educators and families to work together in planning and reflecting on each child, and seeing their development as an ongoing journey that ebbs and flows naturally, supported by intentional teaching practice that is documented, scaffolded, and nurtured to cultivate the best potential outcomes.

WALLABIES
2-3 YEARS
Wallaby educators work closely with parents to support each child’s rapidly emerging social and emotional developmental, self help and skills for independence. The program supports and reflects the children’s needs and interests incorporating foundations skills and is enriched by working closely with each child’s parents. A day in the wallabies is exciting, dynamic, nurturing and with a strong sense of belonging for each child.

KANGAROOS
3-5 YEARS
The educators in the Kangaroos group support children in their emerging interests and abilities to become confident and involved learners. As children’s interest become broader our environment becomes a precious resource, engaging and incorporating it into all aspects of our program, modelling respect, care, and appreciation for our natural and constructed environment and finding ways of enabling children to learn from the land. The children’s wider view of their world is further supported with transition to school activities at school and at the service.

BUSH
KINDY
Dalmeny Daycare provides children with opportunities to explore nature, challenge critical thinking, extend their own hypothesis and peer scaffolding. Bush Kindy is embraced and embedded by all age groups, creating a natural environment outside the centres fences. Children can engage in learning about nature, the environment, sustainability practices and the world in which we live.
